The Herzliya Biennial - With Pics!

The first Herzliya Biennial of Contemporary Art started yesterday, September 23, 2007. Under the theme of "The Rear" (in Hebrew: Ha'Oref, העורף) and is schedule to present the works of more than 70 Israeli artists in various location in the Herzliya center such as underground warehouses, storage halls, the Herzliya museum, apartments, shops and bomb shelters.

The event launched with a Huge fireworks show that would put an independence day event to shame. The City of Herzliya went all out to make the fireworks show one to remember.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from the week long event. I'm not sure of the actual names of these art pieces so you'll have to excuse me for making the names up.
